Our mission is to be the voice of the Azerbaijani hospitality industry whilst supporting ongoing initiatives to foster stable growth of the country’s tourism sector.

AHA  encourages and leads the implementation of international standards by sharing the best international and domestic practices among hotels in order to promote improvements in quality and ensure fair competition within the hospitality industry. From major global brands to the small independent hotels, AHA provides one voice that brings together the industry’s majority of constituents. 

AHA speaks for an industry that represents 37% of Employment,
6% of businesses and 3% of GDP in tourism value chain.

AHA lobbies interest of members and cooperates with the governing bodies to ascertain soon-to-be-applied laws and regulations that promote the stable growth of tourism, sustainability and foreign exchange earnings and prevent restrictive legislation.

AHA supports in improvement of existing hospitality and tourism vocational schools and universities. We are expanding cooperation with international hospitality schools and facilitates in establishing new directions to improve educational standards.

National Hotel Star Classification

National Hotel Star Classification

AHA leads National Star Classification process and possess right to use European Hotelstars Union (HSU) criteria by becoming HSU observer member under patronage of HOTREC in May 2019.

Our Goals

 

AHA aims assisting and encouraging member hotels to make performance improvements by cooperating with the State Tourism Agency and the Azerbaijan Tourism Board to ascertain soon-to-be-applied laws and regulations that promote the stable growth of tourism, sustainability and foreign exchange earnings and communicate them to our members.

We encourage the enhancement of international hospitality standards and service quality. AHA has established and will lead National Hotel Star Classification -national star rating and monitoring system-in accordance with Hotelstars Union (HSU) Criteria which is applied in 17 European Countries under the patronage of HOTREC.

 

Objectives

We regularly conduct surveys and analyze challenges for member hotels and hospitality industry in general, together with devising potential solutions by order of priority and creating effective network among hotels and partners.
