Cabinet of Minister released "Organizational Rules of Hotel operation in the Republic of Azerbaijan During the Coronavirus (Covid-19) Pandemic"

Organizational rules released as Decree 287, highlights main organizational changes must implement to ensure safety of guests and hotel staff

On 8th August, Azerbaijan Cabinet of Ministers released and approved Decree no.287 focusing on Organizational Rules of Hotel operation in the Republic of Azerbaijan During the Coronavirus (Covid-19) Pandemic.

These rules are developed in the basis of  on the facts of scientific research on coronavirus COVID-19 (hereinafter - COVID-19) infection, the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations World Tourism Organization and  experience and recommendations of the European Association of Hotels, Restaurant, Cafes and Bars, relevant governmental authorities in the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as the experience of foreign countries that have achieved successful results in the prevention and control of respiratory diseases.

The main purpose of these rules is to ensure compliance with sanitary and hygienic rules during the resumption of operation of the tourism industry, whose activities are restricted as a result of the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.

These rules apply to hotels, hostels, convention centers with accommodation facilities, rest homes, recreation centers, guest houses, health and sports camps, hunter (fisherman) houses, tourist bases, tourist homes, camping, residential houses (villas, cottages, gardens) houses, etc.), apartments (rooms) in an apartment building, mountain shelters, children's health camps, hotel-type facilities and other construction facilities intended for temporary accommodation.
