Despite the lifting of a number of restrictions in the tourism sector, the fact that hotel and other accommodation service employees are still required to have a COVID-19 certificate makes it difficult for hotels to attract new employees and to proceed with the general hotel operations.
Starting from February 15, 2022, all employees (100%) working in the mentioned enterprises are required to have a valid COVID-19 certificate.
Taking into account that the situation related to the COVID-19 pandemic in the country continues with a positive trend and that the infection rate does not pose a particular threat, Azerbaijan Hotel Association on behalf of all our member hotels, addressed an official letter to the Cabinet of Ministers and asked for assistance revising the requirement of the COVID-19 certificate in relation to the hotels.
