On July 3, Star Classification awarding ceremony to the hotels that passed the National Star Classification was held.
The event was attended by heads of the State Tourism Agency, Azerbaijan Tourism Board, Azerbaijan Hotel Association, the State Service for Antimonopoly Control and Supervision of the Consumer Market, the State Advertising Agency.
Chairman of the State Tourism Agency Fuad Naghiyev, speaking at the event, said that the formation of a positive tourist image of Azerbaijan is directly influenced by the infrastructure, level of service, and other criteria in hotels, and their assessment is possible due to the hotels passing the star classification and receiving the corresponding star ratings.
The CEO of the Azerbaijan Hotel Association, Gunay Saglam, made a presentation about the advantages and benefits of the National Star Classification system, and also shared the classification results and statistical information about the hotels that have passed the star classification across the country.
The National Booking Platform was also introduced and presented at the event.
